I was watching a movie the other night and it had a quote about hope in it. The quote was “Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies.” This got me to thinking about how much hope plays a part in our every day lives.

Just about everything we do has a degree of hope associated with it. We hope we are successful. We hope for a good life. We hope for health. When someone is sick we hope they are better. When we go to bed we hope we wake up in the morning. It would be very difficult to think about a moment in your day where hope doesn’t play a part somehow.

I believe that having hope is what keeps us going. There is always a chance for a better tomorrow as long as we have hope. Even when things seem hopeless, we almost always hope they get better. As long as we believe that there is always a chance for things to be better then hope survives. It is when we lose faith that things can improve that hope starts to diminish.

When I was a boy, I hoped that my life would be meaningful. That in this lifetime I would make my mark on the world and leave it a little better off than I found it. At this point in my life I truly believe that that hope has become a reality. Believing in a better tomorrow has always kept me going and I think that is what drives the ambition to keep hope alive.

So, today I hope for all of you the gift of strength to go after your dreams, turn them into realities and make your life as amazing as it can possibly be. Everyone deserves to have their hopes and dreams fulfilled and they can be as long as you believe.
